Another poem by E.E.Cummings today, with a more traditional feel than Thursday’s. It begins:
i am a little church(no great cathedral)
far from the splendor and squalor of hurrying
– i do not worry if briefer days grow briefest,
i am not sorry when sun and rain make april
far from the splendor and squalor of hurrying
– i do not worry if briefer days grow briefest,
i am not sorry when sun and rain make april
E.E.Cummings
You can read the whole poem here.
E.E.Cummings was fond of using lower case letters in unexpected places, which is why he is sometimes referred to as e.e.cummings (I don’t think he used that moniker himself.) In The Heart’s Time, this poem is set for a different day (p.63).
